WA 10 - Today, we learned about SI mass units. Assignment: p. 157 #1, 2, 5, 7.

Science 9 - Today, we learned about atomic mass, and how to calculate the number of protons and neutrons in an atom or isotope. Make sure you complete the assignment in the golden booklet. Quiz tomorrow!

Career 9 - Today, we learned about what makes a good blog post. Remember: your MS Office quizzes are due tomorrow.

Math 9 - Today, you worked on your review. It is Section 4.10 in your booklet. Please do A, B, and C. You do not need to "show your codes" or anything like that, but please show your work and check your solutions by substituting into the original equation.
Reminder: You have a quiz tomorrow on Linear Inequalities.

WA 10 - Today, you worked on your assignment for Imperial Weights: p. 151 #1-5. This is due Friday.

Science 9 - Today, you worked through notes on bonds.

Career 9 - Today, you completed your quiz on MS Office.

Math 9 - Today, we worked on Section 4.8 of your booklet. It is on linear inequalities. We have a quiz on Thursday!

Science 9 - Today, we worked on our Calculating Elements in Compounds assignment. This is due on Wednesday if you are not done.

Career 9 - Today, we looked at the importance of a positive digital identity. Make sure you complete your blog post on digital footprints.

Welcome back after a long week off!

Math 9 - Today, we did our quiz on Linear Equations. We also learned about how to solve linear inequalities. Section 4.8 (all written excercises) is due at the end of class on Wednesday.

WA 10 - Today, we did SC #3. We learned about converting temperature. Assignment: p. 143 #1-5 due tomorrow.

Remember: Check your thermostat at your home to find out what the termperature is. Convert it to either Fahrenheit or Celcius (whichever scale it is not measured in). This is part of question 5a.

Science 9 - Today, we learned about the awesome science blogs we will be starting, as well as how to calculate the number of atoms in a molecule.

Career 9 - Today, we learned about google tools, including Google Docs, Google Drive, and Google Scholar. We also learned about Wolfram Alpha, a reference site.

Long time, no see! Here are a few reminders for the upcoming week.

Math 9 - Quiz on Sovling Linear Equations on Monday. You will have a quiz on Solving linear inequalities on Thursday (we will learn about them on Monday/Tuesday).

WA 10
- Skill Check #3 Monday. We will start temperature and mass conversions this week.

Science 9
- Remember to comment on last Friday's post with where you
found science in the health presentation from last Friday. We will delve deeper into the periodic table and atoms/elements this week.

Career 9
- Quiz on Word, PowerPoint, and Excel on Wednesday. Your W5 Report: Sext-Ed is due tomorrow (the assignment form and link to the episode is on last Friday's post.) We will be learning about google tools, Wolfram Alpha, and good blogging practices this week.

3(c + 5) = 10

10m = 5(m - 10)

3x - 6 - 4x - 1 = 0

36 = -5p + 6

Monday (Holiday - No questions)

Tuesday (Sorry for the delay!)

3 = 5x - 12

12x = 3 / 5

4m + 6  = 8m - 6

Wednesday

3p = 5p + 2

8n/5 = 16

5(m + 1) = 20

Review Assignment: p. 134 - Choose one question for each of the following: convert units from SI to SI or Imperial to Imperial, convert from SI to Imperial or Imperial to SI, find the surface area, find the volume, find and convert capacity (i.e. cooking units). If you get stuck on a question or get it incorrect, try a similar problem instead.

Science 9 -
[Period 3] Today, we presented our Atomic Models and Elements posters.
[Period 5] Today, we went to a presentation in the gym. In the comments section below, respond how you think that the presentation could relate to Science.
